Yvonne Rodriguez

Founder and CEO

Yvonne Rodriguez is the founder and CEO of Egality Sciences.  Originally from Socorro, Texas, she started working on clinical trials after receiving her BBA from St. Mary’s University, in San Antonio, Texas.  She brings over 20 years of clinical research industry experience having worked at clinical research sites, IRBs, CROs, and pharmaceutical and biomedical device companies.

​

Prior to starting Egality Sciences, Yvonne worked at AstraZeneca and led projects in the DEI space that had successful results.

​

Yvonne holds a Master’s of Science in Health Sciences from George Washington University, and has received a professional certificate from Oxford University.

Rene M. Rodriguez, MD

Chief Medical Officer

As Egality Science's Chief Medical Officer, Dr. Rodriguez serves as a liaison between his medical staff and Egality executives. Dr. Rodriguez also serves to enforce good clinical practice among staff and reviews clinical guidelines on behalf of Egality Sciences

For the past 40 years, Dr. Rodriguez has served as a beacon of patient advocacy in the great state of Texas and now brings his vast experience to protect all patients served by Egality Sciences.

​

Prior to his current position, Dr. Rodriguez served as a Primary Care Physician with WellMed Medical Group in San Antonio, Texas and in private practice in Corpus Christi, Texas since 1979.

​

Dr. Rodriguez has served multiple patient protection capacities to include as President of The American College of Physicians, Texas Chapter, Chairman of the Professional Review Committee and Ethics Committee for Christus Spohn Hospital and Chairman of the Board of Censors for the Nueces Country Medical Society.

​

Dr. Rodriguez is a Fellow with American College of Physicians and Board Certified with the American Board of Internal Medicine.

Tatiana Puga

Chief Operations Officer

Tatiana Puga is originally from El Paso, Texas and began working in clinical research after receiving her Bachelor degree from St Mary’s University in San Antonio, TX.

​

Tatiana brings over 20 years of clinical research experience. 

She began her career as a Clinical Research Coordinator conducting pharmaceutical clinical trials with a focus on endocrinology and metabolic disorders.  She shortly thereafter transitioned to the biomedical device industry where she has focused the remainder of her career.

 

Her experience includes development and execution of bench, preclinical, and clinical studies to support new product development with R&D, regulatory submissions for new and expanded indications, advancements in clinical practice guidelines, and marketing claims.

 

She is a published researcher in the field of emergency medicine and critical care and has presented her research at a number of medical society research forums and congresses.
